The destroyer of the Earth...

US. Humans really are the biggest destroyers of the Earth. Being a developed species is more of a double-edged sword. In the olden days, people used to be peaceful. There used to be no wars, no terrorrists, no fear of what is happening today. Most, if not all, of these fears are caused by us, and us alone. Take cars, for instance, which depleted the natural oil wells underground, and caused global warming. And who invented it? Us, of course. Some people are trying their best to reduce carbon emissions, and others are trying now to use reusable plastic bags. To those people, I salute you, you are doing your part (every action helps) to save the world. But what about others? Will they "be blind" and not care about it all? Will they not care till the Earth is squeezed dry of natural resources? One other example are these coral reefs. These coral reefs can potentially save our lives by blocking tremors underground, but what do we ingrateful humans do? We destroy them with all the oil spills, which is not being stopped. Why don't us humans check the boat for safety first? Is one little check that hard? Due to oil spills, some of the beautiful sights of Nature is destroyed. Isn't it time we selfish humans do something?
